More about the 10 artists...

In a career which has spanned only 10 years, Glimpse has established himself as one of the most versatile, imaginative and talented producers that the UK has to offer today.  With EPs forthcoming this year on Hotflush, Aus, & Hypercolour this shows no sign of slowing down.  His warm analogue approach to production and his live sets have gained him support from a broad range of artists including Carl Craig, Levon Vincent, Richie Hawtin, DJ Koze, Scuba, Ricardo Villalobos. Sven Vath and Jackmaster.

From the early days of his hugely successful, uncompromising techno ‘Black Series’ on Glimpse Recordings, through to the groove-laden techno of ‘Drifting’ on Planet E.  2010 also saw him fully pursue his deep organic take on house via his Crosstown Rebels singles and album   – this musical range has gained him the respect of his peers and culminated in two successive nominations in DJ Magazine’s prestigious ‘Best British Producer’ category.

His energetic live shows and DJ sets incorporating his beloved Roland 909 are already a regular fixture in South America as well as Japan (in part due to a loyal following at Tokyo’s club-of-the-future Womb)
It has also taken him regularly to Australia and North America, as well as European clubbing meccas such as Panorama Bar, Tenax, Fabric, Cocoon and Tresor. A specific highlight in his career came in summer 2010 when an epic run of gigs at Space Ibiza’s Kehakuma party culminated in him being invited to close the evening on the Flight Area stage (outdoor Car Park) at the Space Closing fiesta. As he wrapped up the show, in front of a 5,000 strong crowd, he joined an elite crew containing literally the biggest names in the history of dance music.

Gordon Edge aka Trumpet Man, LIVE (SUBLIMINAL)
A clubbing experience with Gordon Edge aka Trumpet Man - is like no other. Taking his audiences by surprise, by popping up unexpectedly in the middle of a peak-time dance floor, where he enchants the happy crowds with spectacular trumpet solos - at random points throughout his DJ set, really does create a special kind of party atmosphere. The 'Pied-Piper of Ibiza' (as we like to call him), always turns the dance floor into frenzy of excitement and chaos when he gets that Trumpet out! Gordon, who truly is an Ibizan legend, always puts on a very spectacular show for Ultraplay by mixing Techno with LIVE Trumpet that creates a sound that is truly and utterly extraordinary. If you've been unlucky enough to miss one of Trumpet Man's Ultraplay Techno Trumpet sets, then now's your chance to see him literally blow Relay's roof off.

Darren C & Lyn Saine (ULTRAPLAY)
Darren Ultraplay and Lyn Saine are busy preparing for a very rare back-to-back set for this ultra special event. Together with Lyn Saine, Darren Ultraplay who's being spinning Techno for over 10 years, will be digging deeper than ever before into his futuristic sounds, to deliver tunes and frequencies that'll push Relay's almighty Nova sound system to it's limits. Ultraplay's main man will be also showcasing some new fresh new productions, one of which will be previewed on the next Ultraplay Podcast 047. Lyn Saine's equally melodic and intense cutting edge electronic sounds, together with her natural crowd pleasing and charming stage presence, ensures that this will be a set to remember.

Frequenza's latest discovery - uber talented Berlin based C.J. Hartmann recently finished work on his first album and we're about to experience his excellent DJ & LIVE set. His great taste and ability to hypnotise the crowd has earned him a loyal following around the globe. Hartmann released so far on labels such as Ministry Of Sound (Germany) having his track amongst big names Paul Kalkbrenner, Oliver Koletzki, Mark Henning and Soul Clap. He is now debuting on 1st top Indie / Nu Disco label from NYC - Nurvous Records. CJ Hartman's main label Frequenza, places his tracks among stars like Maetrik, Pig & Dan, Gary Beck, Alex Bau, Piemont, Nihil Young or Ramon Tapia.

Red Pig Flower (VAST/P.I.M.P.)

Red took Ultraplay by surprise last year, making her one of our favourite guests ever, since she first took to the decks for Ultraplay. It's difficult to describe both her musical style and charm, it's one of those very special things that is best experienced in person to get the full effect of the captivating energy that Red Pig Flower emits. Definitely check out Red if you haven't heard her yet. If you have, then we're pretty sure you'll be there on Sunday to hear once again, her magical sounds... If you want to catch Red, get down nice and early, as Red Pig Flower will be opening this event at 12pm lunchtime with some breathtaking beats...

Mark d'Ground (MAGMA)
There are many things that make a great DJ, but by far the most important of all is - taste in music. You know those tunes that can only be described as "sick", the one's that you could just listen too forever. Well Mark d'Ground has proven time and time again that he has 'freakishly' good taste when it comes laying down some sick beats. And its not just the tunes themselves, it's the way he links them together, where he steadily builds an immense vibe on the dance floor that you can literally feel even from outside any given club! It's for reasons like this he's been spinning for Magma at LWE's Cocoon Heroes events and Drumcode's Halloween Fright Night at The Great Suffolk St Warehouse with Adam Beyer. He's also played for Cadenza, Leftroom and many other top quality labels. Need we say any more?

Ash Verscuur (AL CODA)

Ash played a very memorable, killer Techno set for Ultraplay last year. He erupted the dance floor with tech bomb after techno bomb, and we can't wait to hear what he's got in store for this very special party. Best known for his residency for Parliament Of House at Turnmills, UK (voted 4th best club in the world by Mixmag two years in a row) and now resident DJ of AL CODA (one of Central America's most acclaimed after hour warehouse parties), Ash has played alongside some of his favourite internationals such as Ariel, Mr C, Dave Clarke, Tim Sheridan and many household favourites including Faithless, Carl Cox, and Stanton Warriors to name all but a few. His music career has taken him through Europe, and as far a field as Asia, Australia, and South and Central America.

Gio Locapo & Toni F (NOI5E POLLUTION)

Italian duo Gio Locapo and Toni F wanted to share their love of all things minimalistic and techno, by creating a unique group of like minded DJ's and producers to perform as one unique entity. After joining forces with Michelle Cade, Alberto Stoppa and Stefano Ranieri, the international collective known as Noi5e Pollution was born.

Noi5e Pollution spin all over Europe, mainly in London, Italy and Spain. Darren C & Lyn Saine bumped into Alberto of Noi5e Pollution in Ibiza last year at Richie Hawtin's launch party 'ENTER. An invite for Noi5e Pollution to play at Ultraplay followed where Noi5e Pollution played an epic set. We welcome back Toni F and Gio Locapo to Ultraplay for another deep, pumping, b2b, dubbed-out techno set.
